Seeing Red over Pinks and Blues

Can I have whites, please? :-)

Funny how much emphasis they put on a baby being a boy or a girl; but for men and women, they want to be the same.

Try shopping for baby clothes, and you'll stare at two options -- blue stuff (labeled BOY) and pink stuff (labeled GIRL). Oh, what do you mean you don't see that one tiny piece labeled "neutral", hidden somewhere between the two sides? And it's either yellow or green.

Why making things difficult by limiting the options? And why the over-emphasis on blue must be for boys, and girls must have pinks?

How about beige, my most favorite color ever? And whatever happened to the all innocent, simple whites?

What a waste when we cannot reuse the same clothes for the next baby if it's not the same sex, especially when babies outgrow their clothes very fast anyway?

This applies to everything else too, like beddings, car seats, etc etc.

Parents of shy babies like us don't know what it is until it's born. Thanks for making shopping difficult for us. We did find some neutral colors, but they are not close to enough for what we need. So we bought a few items in two sets: both pink AND blue. Keep the receipts and the tags, and when the baby comes, return one of the sets to the store. Luckily returns are easy here!

I'm still not happy with the general stupidity, anyway.

I was just venting.. prok prek! :-))

Deme bukan bodoh, customers saja suka menyusahkan diri; dan producers suka promote consumerism, yeah.. beli beli.. perabih duit..! :-)

Tu la pasal, LT, deme gemor benor label siap2, and nak jumpa natural colors tu jenuh.. natural pun asyik2 yellow and green (kaler kedah). dah le pekan kecik nih, tak macam kay ell or ipoh mali ;-)

Ina, congratulations on your baby Amira. Amboi, sekapal kita noo... Bila nak post gambaq baby? Sakit lagi dak?... Hehe...
Hik. Tak tahan la tengok baju baby comel2x.
